For the past 3 years, Phil Ferrato has volunteered with Lutheran Family and Community Services’ New LIFE Center Food Pantry. He is always willing to help with any task that needs to be done at the pantry.

Sometimes his day starts early, as he travels to Eisenhower Park to pick up our allotment of food from Island Harvest. Phil then unloads the food for us and assists with keeping the pantry organized and clean.

We also value his other talents as Phil has been a mason by trade. He acts as our handyman by repairing, fixing, and maintaining our facility and keeping it in good working order. Phil lent his carpentry skills to build us a new safe, sturdy exterior railing.

We are grateful to our volunteers!
