Sarah Strole, a seasoned Social Worker and Director of the Safe Haven for Children program, will be presenting at the National Association of Social Workers-NYC Annual Conference on April 18, 2017. At the conference, entitled Social Work in the City: Challenges, Uncertainty, and New Opportunities, Sarah, and a colleague who works as a school social worker, will speak about best practices for supervising staff who work in chronically stressful environments.
The Safe Haven for Children program recently celebrated educational milestones for two Social Work staff members. Congratulations to Perla Velasquez (Case Manager) for receiving her Master in Public Administration (MPA), and Monica Cedeno (Clinician) for becoming a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
