We are very grateful to Cristhian of Anthony’s Trendz Barber Shop in Island Park, NY.
He visited our Seneca House shelter this week in order to give the kids free cuts just in time for the holidays. The shelter is located in Hunt’s Point in the Bronx — a traditionally underserved community.
Says Rachel Bleecker, LMSW, our Executive Director for Residential Services, “We now count him as a member of our LSSNY village. Cristhian understands that something as seemingly simple as a fresh haircut can help boost our youths’ self-esteem.”

After the event, Cristhian thanked Rachel for the opportunity to bring smiles to our children’s faces.
