Easter Sunday would have been incomplete without the Easter Bunny!

At Vanguard House, our sanctuary for 143 families located in Long Island City, Queens, we pulled out all the stops to make sure that the kids had fun!

Two of our staff members — Eduardo Garcia, Case Manager Supervisor and Brandon Ruiz, Recreational Coordinator — wore bunny suits.

We divided the space into six different stations based on age. Our residents range from three-years-old to 18-years-old.

There were multiple games with prizes. We also had a dance competition.

Food was catered by Rosie’s Bites and the kids enjoyed juices and snacks.

The only thing missing according to Mr. Ruiz? An internal fan for the bunny helmet!

Happy Easter!
