Our New LIFE School barbering students, along with the Master Barber, gave free haircuts to residents of our supportive housing.

Nicole Russo, Program Director of the Muhlenberg Residence, said, “I was so excited to bring this back to my site! This was something we had done in the past and the tenants were always so happy to be able to get their hair cut, a luxury not all of our members can afford. This was an even greater gift as the holidays approached.”

Our New LIFE School is a special education therapeutic day school for grades 3-12, providing educational and vocational training to 175 students in grades 3-12.

Our supportive housing program serves 610 chronically homeless individuals and families and includes six residences in Brooklyn and the Bronx. We foster independent living skills by providing residential support, mental health and substance abuse counseling, job and vocational training, case management, and peer support and crisis intervention. We offer supportive housing that works.

Please consider an end-of-year donation to LSSNY so we can continue to serve all those who depend on our programs:
